Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry has been enjoying her time in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). RCB may not have had a great start to their campaign in WPL 2023 but they finally notched up their first win of the tournament on Wednesday, March 15. While Perry has been consistent with the bat, she finally took her first wicket in the tournament in her sixth match and went on to pick a three-wicket haul, including the big one of Grace Harris, who threatened to take the game away from RCB. Despite the performances, Perry is still frustrated with the Holi colour stuck in her hair.
Perry had shared a picture after playing Holid with her teammates that she got the pink colour stuck in her even after two washes and now after RCB’s first win, she made a humble public request asking for suggestions to get it out.
In an interaction on Jio Cinema after the match on Wednesday, Perry said, “If anyone at home actually can give me some kind of suggestion of how to get pink Holi colour out of your hair, that’d be great. Otherwise, I have sort of just embraced it and rocking it as much as I can. It’s been so much fun, Holi was a great day. For some reason, the pink stuck to my hair not to anyone else’s. If anyone can explain that or give me a way to get it out, that would be great.”
Perry said that she is enjoying her time off the field with the RCB girls and said that even if they don’t reach the playoffs, performing well in the next two games and ending the league stage on a high will be key for the franchise going into the next season.
With the win against the UP Warriorz, RCB kept their hopes alive, however, they need to keep winning and also hope that a couple of results go their way.
