Hyundai Motor India launched the Alcazar facelift at a starting price of Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the second major SUV launch from the automaker this year after the 2024 Hyundai Creta. The Hyundai Alcazar facelift competes against the likes of Tata Safari, Mahindra Scorpio-N, and MG Hector Plus. In its 2024 version, the SUV receives numerous exterior and interior updates as well as technological advancements over the previous models.
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift is essentially a premium 6/7-seater SUV with four variants on offer – Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature. While the entry-level petrol Alcazar costs Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the base diesel model is priced Rs 1 lakh higher – Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Both prices are applicable for the 7-seater Executive variants.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: Design & Dimensions
The new Alcazar boasts new quad-beam LED headlamps, H-shaped LED daytime running lights, and a new dark chrome grille. The rear features connected LED taillights with a new tailgate and spoiler. It also gets new LED indicators with sequential function. Hyundai has redesigned the front and rear bumpers and skid plates, bridge-shaped roof rails, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. As for dimensions, the SUV measures 4,560 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,760 mm.
The new Hyundai Alcazar facelift has nine exterior colour options: Robust Emerald, Robust Emerald Matte (new), Titan Grey Matte, Abyss Black, Fiery Red, Ranger Khakhi, Starry Night, Atlas White and Atlas White with Black Roof.
Hyundai Alcazar 2024: Interior
The cabin of the Alcazar facelift features a new dual-tone colour theme of Noble Brown and Haze Navy. The first and second row have ventilated seats. There are powered driver and front passenger seats. While the driver’s seat features a memory function, the seats get a thigh cushion extension. Just like the Creta facelift, the Alcazar facelift features 10.25-inch integrated infotainment systems and 10.25-inch instrument panel displays. A new dual-zone automatic climate control system comes with a touch control panel. Also, the air vents are integrated horizontally into the dashboard.
Furthermore, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift features an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system, a magnetic pad (on the driver’s console), a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, and a second-row wireless charger. Also offered is a multilingual user interface support with 10 regional and two international languages.
2024 Hyundai Alcazar: Safety Features
In terms of safety, the Alcazar features 40 standard features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, all four disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system (highline), hill-start assist control, vehicle stability management, hill descent control, rain sensing wipers, and front parking sensors, and electrochromic IRVM. In total, there are more than 70 safety features. ADAS SmartSense Level 2 offers 19 features, including forward collison warning and avoidance assist, smart cruise control, blind spot view monitor, surround view monitor, driver attention warning, and lane keep assist.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: Engine Specs
The new SUV is equipped with a 1.5-litre GDi turbo petrol engine (160 PS and 253 Nm) and a 1.5-litre CRDi diesel engine (116 PS and 250 Nm). The petrol unit is available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT, while the diesel motor gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AT torque converter options. The new Hyundai Alcazar offers an ARAI-certified mileage of 17.5 km/l for petrol MT, 18 km/l for DCT petrol, 20.4 km/l for diesel MT and 18.1 km/l for diesel AT.
