What does this table really depict?
As a percentage of total shareholding, resident individuals who own Adani Transmission, Adani Green Energy and Adani Total Gas is less than 2%. This means that although the fall in Adani group stocks in today’s trading session seemed exorbitant, number of individuals who will consequently be impacted will not be as many.
The number of resident individuals who own Adani Transmission is as less as 148712. Meanwhile, only 1.44% of the total shareholders of Adani Green Energy are held by resident individuals. For Adani Total Gas as well, only 1.55% of the total shareholders are resident individuals.
Number of resident individual shareholders who own Adani Enterprises stand below 2.5 lakh. This translates to 2.09% of the total shareholders. Meanwhile nearly 7.1 lakh resident individual shareholders own Adani Ports- which as a percentage of total shareholders stands at about 4.11%.
The table clearly portrays that although the downtick on Adani group stocks was huge, number of resident individual shareholders who will be impacted are not significantly high.
