Hindu Ekta Mahakumbh event kickstarted today in Chitrakoot. Bhagwat is the chief guest at the ‘mahakumbh’ which will also be attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The objective of the Hindu Ekta Mahakumbh is to ‘unite’ the Hindus and bring them under one roof.
Issues like population control and love jihad are expected to be discussed during the mahakumbh.
Poet Kumar Vishwas, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, Bollywood actor Ashutosh Rana, Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and many other personalities from several sections of the society will attend the event in Chitrakoot.
Bhagwat had earlier sai dthat the identity of India is Hindu, so what is the harm in accepting it.
earlier, the Sangh chief had created a huge uproar over his comment saying that Hindus and Muslims share the same ancestry and every Indian citizen is a “Hindu”.
“The word Hindu was equivalent to motherland, ancestors and Indian culture. This is not disrespecting other views. We have to think in terms of gaining Indian dominance and not Muslim dominance ,” he said while speaking at an event organised by Pune-based Global Strategic Policy Foundation.
“Islam came to India with invaders. This is history and should be told in that manner. Sane Muslim leaders should oppose unnecessary issues and stand firmly against fundamentalists and hardliners. The more we do this at the earliest, the less damage it will cause to our society,” he had said.
