Bollywood actor Govinda has made his first public appearance after getting injured with his own gun. He accidentally shot himself in the leg with his gun on the early morning of October 1 while he was getting ready to leave his home. The actor has relieved his fans, who were worried about him, by making an appearance in front of the media and thanking authorities for their help.

Govinda said, as quoted by news agency ANI, “I thank everyone for their prayers… I thank CM Shinde, police and the press. I especially thank my fans for praying so much for me. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their love.”

After getting admitted to the hospital, Govinda shared the first statement, thanking fans for their prayers and well wishes. He said, “Namaskar, pranaam, main hoon Govinda, aap sab logon ke aashirwad aur maa-baap ka aashirwad, guru ki kripa ke wajah se goli lagi thi par woh nikaal di gayi hai. Main dhanyavad deta hoon yahan ke doctor ka, aadarniya doctor Agarwal ji ka aur aap sab logon ki prarthana jo hai, aap logon ka dhanyavad, pranaam (I am Govinda. Thanks to your blessings, my parents’ blessings, and the grace of my guru, I was shot, but the bullet has been taken out. I thank the doctors here, especially Dr. Agarwal, and I appreciate all your prayers).”

According to the reports by Aaj Tak, the incident happened around 4:45 a.m., while the actor was keeping his licensed gun in the case. The gun reportedly slipped out of his hand and got misfired. He was alone in his house when the incident happened and was getting ready to head out from his home to reach Kolkata.

Bollywood celebs including Shatrughan Sinha, David Dhawan and Raveena Tandon met Govinda at the hospital.
