Godrej Properties acquires 62 acres of land in Kurukshetra for 1.4 million sq ft residential project

Godrej Properties  announced it acquired 62 acres of land in Haryana’s Kurukshetra to develop a 1.4 million sq. ft. plotted residential project. The company did not reveal the transaction amount of the deal for Kurukshetra land.
The real estate major said the project will offer attractive plot sizes along with exceptional lifestyle amenities. The site is located with access to National Highway 44.

Kurukshetra is a self-sufficient city with good infrastructure consisting of schools, colleges, and hospitals and has significant historical and religious importance, Godrej Properties said in an exchange filing.

Last week, the company announced that it has entered into an agreement for development of 14.27 acres of land in Gurugram, Haryana. It said the project, one of the largest by the company in Gurugram, will primarily consist of premium residential apartments. The site is strategically located with easy access to National Highway 48 and Northern Peripheral Road.
In a separate announcement, the Godrej Group company said it entered into a joint venture with Neelkamal Realtors Tower Private Limited (NRTPL) for the development of property situated at Byculla in Mumbai. The project is being developed by the company through a Special Purpose Vehicle Godrej Residency Private Limited (GRPL), wherein the company will hold 50.01% and the balance 49.99% will be held by NRTPL, it added.
In FY 2021, Godrej Properties emerged as the largest developer in India by the value and volume of residential sales achieved.
