From slamming Jaishankar on China remarks to cornering PM Modi over Adani – Rahul Gandhi’s top quotes at Cong meet

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi hit out at External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar over his remarks that India cannot pick a fight with China and said “it is not nationalism but cowardice”.
Jaishankar recently said that India cannot pick a fight with China as the latter has a bigger economy than New Delhi.
“EAM said in an interview that India has a smaller economy than China, so how can we fight them? Was our economy very big when we were fighting with the Britishers,” he said at the 85th plenary session of the party.

Top quotes of Rahul Gandhi from the plenary session:

I criticised Gautam Adani in Parliament, and asked what relationship he has with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The government and its ministers came to the businessman’s defence.

I asked how Adani reached the second spot (the world’s richest). He got all benefits that no one gets. I only asked what is the relation between PM Modi and Adani. All BJP workers started saving Adani and said those who attack Adani are ‘desh drohi’.

One cannot ask questions about Adani in Parliament. We will continue to ask questions till the truth comes out.You saw we did ‘tapasya’ for four months and how energised party workers got, tapasya should not stop.During Bharat Jodo Yatra I learned a lot. I walked for my nation from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Thousands connected to me and the party during the yatra. I listened to all problems of farmers & realized their pain.I listened to PM Modi’s speech in which he mentioned that I also went to Lal Chowk to hoist the flag. PM didn’t understand that he hoisted the flag with the BJP members but we hoisted the flag with the Kashmiri youth.Just a few days back, a minister said that China’s economy is bigger than the Indian economy so how can we fight with them? When Britishers were ruling our country, was their economy smaller than ours? This is cowardice. This is the ideology of Savarkar. Is this nationalism? What kind of nationalism is this?Fight those who are weaker than you and bow down before those who are stronger than you?
