From certain six to just one run! Ashton Agar’s superhuman effort against England is a must watch

Reigning ODI and T20I World Cup winners England is currently engaged in a three-match One-Day International series against Ashes rival Australia. The first match of the three-match 50-over assignment is taking place at Adelaide Oval on Thursday (November 17), in which, after being invited to bat first, the Jos Buttler side posted a total of 287 runs on the board.
For the visitors, number three batter Dawid Malan top-scored by making 134 runs from 128 balls. He hammered 12 fours and four sixes during his stay at the crease. It was only due to his batting display that England managed to post a fighting total.
In the first ODI, Australian players impressed with their fielding display, and one spectacular effort by the spin-bowling all-rounder Ashton Agar caught everyone’s attention. The 29-year-old saved a definite six with his effort on the field.
The incident took place on the final ball of the 45th over, bowled by new Australian ODI captain Pat Cummins. English batter Malan attempted to play a big shot, and it was a definite six, until Agar came up with an extraordinary save to restrict the ball from crossing the boundary rope.
He was fielding near the boundary rope and jumped to perfectly judge the ball and push it away. He was unable to complete the impossible catch but saved five runs for his side.
The video of his heroic effort went viral on social media platforms, and fans are amazed by his stunning display.
England are aiming to get the better of the Australian team in the ongoing ODI series and complete the dream Australian tour. The English team, which landed in Australia in the first week of October, has already won the three-match T20I series, which was played before the T20 World Cup, by a margin of 2-0 and then bagged the second T20 World Cup trophy as well.
