Flatheads shoes: Shark Tank India Season 2 contestant gets job offer, sells out products on Amazon

Ganesh Balakrishnan, the owner of Flatheads shoes, who appeared on Shark Tank Season 2 on Friday, seeking funding for his company, did not get it from the panel members but was able to secure a job offer and reportedly sold all his shoes on Amazon after the episode aired.
The Shark Tank India Season 2 episode which aired on Friday, January 6, was particularly emotional as the founder of Flatheads choked up with tears, stating that his business was not generating an optimum response, and that he might soon need to find a job as he was out of funds.
Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal pitched in with job offer, stating Shark Tank India was not just about funding and business, but also about perspective.
I have an open offer for you for a job,” he said, as he got up and hugged Balakrishnan after listening to his emotional journey.
According to reports, Flathead shoes were sold out on Amazon after the episode aired; this could not be verified independently.
Flatheads shoes claims to be the first footwear brand in India to turn bamboo into a high-performing shoe fabrication, according to the company’s website.
The Direct-to-customer (D2C) online casual sneakers brand Flatheads onboarded actor and cricket commentator Gaurav Kapur as its brand ambassador in April this year.
Who is Flatheads owner Ganesh Balakrishnan?
Balakrishnan is an MBA and an alumni of IIT Bombay; he worked for a few corporates before embarking on an entrepreneurial journey. He built a number of brands in the last few years. He started Flatheads in 2019 and managed to double sales deposit the pandemic; however, the entrepreneur seems to have run into a rough patch now, as evident from his story on Shark Tank India Season 2 episode on Friday.
