In what can be considered the first big upset of the tournament, Argentina, one of the favourites to win the FIFA World Cup overall, suffered a loss that will cause a big dent to their chances of qualifying for the next round. Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a calmly placed penalty, and got a 1-0 lead over the Asian giants into the half-tuime, However Saudi Arabia came from behind to score 2 goals and thus caused a shock upset win over Lionel Messi and his men.
