In a match where Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have their season at stake, the Virat Kohli-starrer will face Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Thursday (May 19) evening. Only a victory in the tie will keep RCB’s chances of qualifying for the playoffs alive.
Ahead of the big encounter which will be both sides’ last league game of the season, the two camps seemed in a relax mood in the training session on the eve of the game. GT’s star leg-spinner Rashid Khan posted a hilarious video with Kohli as both players were engaging in some fun banter regarding Rashid’s uncanny batting technique.
“Even Virat Kohli bhai knows about my (snake emoji) ya (gun emoji) shot,” wrote Rashid Khan on Instagram while posting the clip which went viral all across social media.
In the same clip, Kohli can be seen expressing his adulation for how Rashid is able to produce the famous ‘snake shot.’ The duo shared a warm embrace with each other as there were laughs all around. Earlier in the day, Rashid Khan posted another clip with Kohli in which he revealed that the Indian batting icon had gifted him a bat. “Always a pleasure meeting you Virat Kohli. Thank you for the gift,” Rashid wrote on the photo-sharing app.
Talking about the game, RCB come into the fixture with 14 points to their name in 13 matches. A defeat will certainly knock them out of the tournament due to their poor net-run rate (NRR), a win will also leave them dependent on Mumbai Indians (MI) to beat Delhi Capitals on Saturday (May 21).
On the other, GT are sitting on top of the table and were not just the the first team to qualify for the playoffs but also have secured a spot in the first qualifier which means they will have two chances at reaching the final.
