The feud between Tesla chief Elon Musk and Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal does not seem to be ending anytime soon. Though Musk has already announced that he is no more committed on continuing the $44 billion Twitter deal, the world’s richest man is not leaving a chance to spar with Agrawal, still giving rise to a fair amount of drama in the tech industry.
Musk fired a warning message to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal and CEO Ned Segal on June 28, but before pulling out of the deal, regarding the “trouble” being cause by their lawyers, warning them that they need to “stop”.
“Your lawyers are using these conversations to cause trouble. That needs to stop,” Musk texted Agrawal and Segal, according to a report in businessinsider.in.
As per the report, the text by Musk was in response to the micro-blogging platform’s decision to seek information from the SpaceX boss on how he planned on acquiring the money for the $44 billion merger.
Twitter dragged the 51-year-old to the Delaware court on Tuesday after the billionaire backed out of the deal to buy the micro-blogging platform.
On Friday, Musk said he was terminating the deal because Twitter violated the agreement by failing to respond to requests for information regarding fake or spam accounts on the platform, which is fundamental to its business performance.
Twitter called the reasons cited by Musk a “pretext” that lacked merit and said his decision to walk away had more to do with a decline in the stock market, particularly for tech stocks.
