The Egyptian prosecution has ordered the detention of two Israeli citizens for assaulting three hotel workers in Taba, a Red Sea town near the Israeli border, according to Egyptian security sources .
The two Israelis, charged with assault and displaying force, will be held in custody for four days while investigations continue, the sources said.
On Friday, a fight at a hotel in Taba left three Arab Israeli tourists and two Egyptian hotel workers injured.
Egypt: Hotel Brawl Erupts Over Payment Dispute
Egyptian security sources reported that a physical fight broke out after an Arab Israeli tourist verbally insulted an Egyptian hotel employee, leading to a confrontation involving other tourists and staff members.
Worker Seriously Injured
Egypt’s state-affiliated Al-Qahera News TV reported that one of the Egyptian workers was seriously injured. The fight reportedly began when several tourists refused to pay for hotel services.
