Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 and Varun Dhawan-Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya are battling it out at the box office! While Drishyam 2 is on its way to crossing the Rs 200 crore mark, Varun Dhawan’s horror-comedy has finally improved after a week of declines.
Drishyam 2 aims for the Rs 200 crore club

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 stars Ajay Devgn as the lead with Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta in pivotal roles. Continuing the plot of the first film, the sequel revolves around Tabu’s character who is pursuing a vendetta against the film’s protagonist, played by Ajay Devgn. The movie hit screens on November 18.
Bhediya picks up pace
Following a slow week, Varun Dhawan-starrer finally found its footing at the theaters on its second Saturday, raking in Rs 3.70 crore. “#Bhediya shows signs of recovery on [second] Sat, after the decline in numbers on [second] Fri… Needs to maintain the trend on [second] Sun as well as on weekdays… [Week 2] Fri 1.95 cr, Sat 3.70 cr. Set in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe that includes the movies Stree and Roohi, Bhediya stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. The film follows the story of Bhaskar Sharma, played by Varun Dhawan, who starts transforming into a werewolf after getting bitten by one. The movie was released on November 25 this year.
