DPL 2025: Central Delhi Kings Crush South Delhi Superstarz With Dominant 9-Wicket Victory

Central Delhi Kings showcased a clinical exhibition of all-round cricket to thrash South Delhi Superstarz by 9 wickets in a one-sided Delhi Premier League (DPL) match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Opting to bowl first, the Kings’ bowlers were brutal from the beginning, tearing the Superstarz batting lineup with merciless accuracy. The South Delhi team never got to their feet, shedding wickets at fixed intervals and not able to develop any momentum. The innings collapsed in no time, with the side being bowled out for a mere 80 runs in 15.4 overs.

Tejas Baroka was outstanding with the ball, dishing out a masterful spell of 3 for 12 off four overs. His combination of tight lines and intelligent variations suffocated the batters throughout. He was well supported by Simarjeet Singh, who also took 3 for 15 off his 3 overs and tightened the noose around the Superstarz further.

In return, the Kings’ openers started the batting aggressively. Yash Dhull and Siddharth Joon kickstarted the chase with a fiery beginning, amassing 40 runs in the first four overs. Joon laid the foundation with an onslaught of 32 from mere 10 balls, rattling the boundary consistently. After getting out, Yugal Saini supported Dhull and prevented any hiccups en route.

Dhull went unbeaten on a composed 29 off 15 deliveries, with Saini chipping in with a confident 12* off 12 balls, as Central Delhi Kings chased the target in just six overs clinching one of the most overpowering wins of the season so far.

The thumping win not only reflected the bowling strength of the Kings but also the gun in their top order, as they march on dominantly in the DPL with strong momentum.
