India and Australia are all set to play against each other in the fourth Test of the five-match series at Melbourne Cricket Ground. The IND vs AUS 4th Test will begin from December 26 and the Rohit Sharma-led side will be willing to win the match and take a much-needed lead in the series. The Indian team displayed a top performance in the opening match of the series when they registered a one-sided 295-run victory. However, the winning momentum couldn’t be continued as they suffered a disappointing ten-wicket loss in the second match played in Adelaide. Rain won in Brisbane during the third match of the series and now the focus shifts to the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The Indian team has reached Melbourne and is practicing hard ahead of the boxing-day Test match. In a fielding drill organised by fielding coach T Dilip to enhance the fielding skills of the players. The players had to hit the stumps at different distances. Hitting the ball at the largest stump was of worth one point, smaller stump at two points whereas the smallest stump would be worth four points. Each player had to take up six balls each to hit their targets and earn points. BCCI shared the video for the same on their official ‘X’ handle.
Explaining about the drill fielding coach T Dilip said, “The key objective for me today was getting all together and making sure that before we kick off into the nets we get some energy going, and together as a group when we work, it’s outstanding.”
The contest became even more interesting when it was revealed that a cash prize of USD 300 has been kept for the winner. Showcasing his brilliant fielding skills and agility, wicket-keeper batter Dhruv Jurel ended up as winner of the contest. His performance caught the eye of the team management and may get a chance in the Melbourne Test.
