Dhak Dhak: Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi are all set to ride together in Taapsee Pannu’s next

Taapsee Pannu is renowned and loved for the powerful female characters she plays in films that she mostly stars in. Taapsee’s determination to tell tales about women has only become stronger since she entered the production world. The actress is back with another announcement, months after founding her production business Outsiders Films and revealing details of the first film to be directed under it, Blurr. Taapsee announced on Instagram that she has teamed up with Viacom18 Studios and BLM Pictures to depict the narrative of four women in Dhak Dhak.
The protagonists of the film are veteran actresses Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanjana Sanghi. A photo of the four women perched on bikes, ready to embark on an adventure, appears on the announcement post. Ratna Pathak is clad in a salwar, while Fatima sports a blouse and shorts. Sanjana is wearing denim jeans, while Dia’s character is clothed in a salwar with a headscarf. What connection do they share? Their confidence and comfort when riding the bike.
Sharing the news, Taapsee Pannu wrote, “Join the ride of a lifetime with Dhak Dhak, as four women ride to the highest motorable pass in the world on an exciting journey of self-discovery!” tagging the cast and the crew.
Colleagues and supporters wished the Pink star success and expressed their love and blessings. “Zindabad,” stated Anubhav Sinha, director of Taapsee’s Mulk. “You’re on fire!” wrote Kanika Dhillon, who worked with Taapsee in Haseen Dilruba. “Onward n upward, my pal!”
Dia Mirza re-posted the same photo with the same caption. “So excited about this new journey,” she captioned. “All the best,” Neha Dhupia replied to the tweet with a heart emoji. “All da best, Dia,” Sangeeta Bijlani commented.
“Love this already!” exclaimed Dia’s pal and actress Diana Penty.
Sanjana Sanghi also posted the same image with the caption, “Months of prep later, so excited to finally get to share this crazy ride with you all! Here’s bringing to you our next, full of love, laughter and adventure.”
Taapsee Pannu earlier said in a statement, “We have attempted to give audiences a visual experience that they have rarely seen on screen. Dhak Dhak narrates the story of four women who realise that freedom has to be owned and never given. Viacom18 Studios has been a crucial part of my journey in the film industry from Chashme Baddoor, Shabaash Mithu and now to Dhak Dhak. I am sure that this ride will be an enriching one.”
Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for a number of intriguing projects in the coming months, including Shabaash Mithu, Dunki, Dobaaraa, Blurr, and Tadka.
