Days after making massive MS Dhoni revelation, Virat Kohli shares cryptic Instagram story

Just a couple of days after his explosive claim in the post-match press conference after India’s defeat against Pakistan in the 2022 Asia Cup’s Super 4 stage clash at the Dubai International Stadium, Virat Kohli shared a cryptic story on his Instagram account on Tuesday.
On Sunday (September 4) after the clash against Pakistan, Kohli had revealed that MS Dhoni was the only person who texted him personally after his decision to quit Test captaincy of the national team earlier in the year. Elaboration on the issue, Kohli had stated that people giving him advice on Television in front of the world does hold much value to him.
In a post that probably explains his comments, Kohli shared an inspirational quote on Instagram which said ‘Notice the people who are happy for your happiness, and sad for your sadness. They’re the ones who deserve special places in your heart.’ Kohli shared the same and wrote ‘Word.’
“Let me tell you one thing: when I left Test captaincy, I got a message from only one person, with whom I had played previously; that was MS Dhoni,” Kohli said. “Many people have my number. On TV, people give lots of suggestions, people have a lot to say. But none of the people who had my number sent me a message,” Kohli said in the press conference.
“That respect [with Dhoni], that connection you have with someone, when it is genuine, it shows like this, because there is no insecurity with either of us. Neither does he [Dhoni] need anything from me, nor do I need anything from him. Neither of us suffers from insecurity. I can only say: if I want to say something to someone, I reach out to that person individually if I want to help. I mean, if you give the suggestions in front of the world, it has no value for me. If it is for my improvement, you can talk with me one-on-one, (tell me) that I genuinely want you to do well,” he added.
Kohli had stepped down from the Indian test team’s captaincy after the tour of South Africa earlier this year having led the team in the longest format for 7 years and become India’s most successful captain in the history of red-ball cricket.
Following a run of poor form, Kohli looks to be back to his best having scored two half-centuries in a row in the tournament against Hong and Pakistan. India will face Sri Lanka in a must-win clash on Tuesday (September 6) in Dubai.
