Jin, the eldest member of the K-Pop band BTS, has started his solo career after returning from military. He has made his solo album debut with ‘Happy’, and has been receiving a good response. The group recently got into a controversy due to its agency HYBE Labels, which started the disbandment rumours of BTS. In a recent interview, Jin addressed the rumours of leaving band, and also talked about his future projects.
No Plans To Leave The Band Anytime Soon: Jin
In his recent interview with Billborad, Jin has dismissed the rumours of leaving BTS and expressed his affection for the group. He said, “The only band I, now and forever, will be part of is BTS. Band music is a genre I’m personally interested in, and I enjoy exploring different styles as a solo artist. But at the end of the day, my roots and connection to music will always be with BTS.”
While further talking about this future projects, Jin added, “Before enlisting, I was focused mainly on our group activities, so a solo album didn’t feel right at the time. But with all the members now taking turns serving, it felt like the right time to share something personal with ARMY who have supported us all along. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I’ve enjoyed making it.”
Jin earlier collaborated with British band Coldplay for his song ‘The Astronaut’, that was released before he joined the military. He is also the last member to release his solo album. Before the release of his new album ‘Happy’, he released his rendition his old song ‘Super Tuna’, which also became a hit. He also appeared in several variety shows including ‘Run Jin’ and later team up with Netflix for a fun reality series.
Meanwhile, Jungkook, V, Jimin, and RM are still in the military and will get discharged in 2025. BTS rapper J-Hope recently returned from the military and will soon release his future projects.
