Brian Lara interacts with Indian players in dressing room, clicks legendary picture with Rahul Dravid

After India’s thrilling victory over West Indies in the first ODI of the three-match series on Friday (July 22), the Indian dressing room was blessed with the presence of legendary batter Brian Lara. Lara, who is a local of Trinidad where the match was being played interacted with Indian team players after the end of the play.
Lara is widely regarded as among the finest batters of his generation alongside Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting. The ex-West Indies captain was present at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain for the first ODI which turned out to be a high-scoring and entertaining game.
Following the end of the game which India won by just three runs, Lara visited the Indian dressing room and was seen having a lengthy conversation with skipper Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Yuzvendra Chahal in a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Lara also got a legendary picture clicked with Indian head coach Rahul Dravid. The image which captures two of the greatest cricketers in the history of the sport in one frame broke the internet and went viral all across social media after BCCI shared it on their official Twitter feed. “Two Legends, One Frame,” they captioned the post.
India start series with win
Making a solid start to the white-ball tour, India won the first game by three runs in a match that ended up being a last-ball thriller. West Indies skipper Nicolas Pooran won the toss and chose to bowl first in a decision that backfired as Team India put on a huge total of 308 on the board. Skipper Dhawan was the top-scorer with a knock of 97 while Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries.
For West Indies, Kyle Mayers and Brandon King scored half-centuries to give them a solid foundation while quick-fire cameos from Akeal Hossein and Romario Shepherd put the hosts on the brink of a win but Mohammed Siraj held his nerve to ensure India take a 1-0 lead in the series.
