The team of Brahmastra is out and about the country to promote their upcoming film. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the film stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in lead roles. The much-anticipated fantasy film also stars Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni in lead roles. While Alia’s promotional looks have certainly grabbed everyone’s attention, Mouni, too, is turning heads with her stunning picks. The latest one is a black saree that will leave every saree lover impressed!
For the massive pre-release event of Brahmastra in Hyderabad, Mouni looked ravishing in a black and gold saree. The actress opted for a number titled ‘Black Bunch Of Birds Crinkle Gota Sari’ from ace designer Masaba Gupta’s collection. The pre-pleated saree adorned with crinkle gota palla and birds foil printed atop it makes for a gorgeous festive pick. A little research and it was revealed that the saree is priced at Rs 20,000.
Mouni completed her look with a deep neck backless blouse. She rounded off her look with a neat bun with side parting, maroon lip shade and kohl-rimmed eyes. The actress also wore heavy gold earrings and bangles to finish her look.

Mouni essays the role of Junoon in the film. Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji once talked about how a lot of people will walk out of Brahmastra, talking about Mouni’s performance.
“Moun – who has deep belief and deep surrender for Lord Shiva – has always understood Brahmāstra very naturally – and with that understanding, she really killed it with her part in our movie!” he had said. The director also recalled that he had offered Mouni a ‘special appearance’ in the film in his first meeting with him. “Eventually she shot with us from our first day to our last schedule, and is really, the surprise package in the film!” he wrote in an elaborate IG post earlier this year.
