Congress leader Rahul Gandhi believes that BJP’s politics of hate is harmful for India and that it is also responsible for rising unemployment in the country.
Domestic and foreign industries cannot run without social peace, he said in a tweet and sought help from the public to counter this hatred with brotherhood.
The Wayanad MP had conducted a Twitter poll asking his followers about BJP’s biggest shortcomings.
The four options were ‘unemployment’, ‘tax extortion’, ‘inflation’ and ‘atmosphere of hatred’.
The poll elicited 347,396 votes with 35 per cent of people opting for the last option indicating the prevalence of hateful atmosphere was the central government’s biggest failure.
According to the post, the second biggest failure of the government was unemployment, with 28 per cent of those interacting with the poll voting for it.
17.2 per cent of people voted for taxation while 19.28 per cent said inflation was the biggest drawback of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.
On Monday, the former Amethi MP had termed unemployment a serious crisis in the country saying it is the responsibility of the PM to resolve it.
He said the country seeking answers and excuses should not be made.
“Unemployment is a very deep crisis – it is the responsibility of the prime minister to resolve it. The country is asking for answers, stop making excuses,” Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi.
Along with the tweet he also tagged a report on how deep the unemployment crisis is.
Rahul Gandhi, who never minces words while criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s policies, recently termed the upcoming elections in five states “right opportunity to defeat hatred”.
In a tweet in Hindi, he said, “Nafrat ko harane ka sahi mauka hai.” (It is the right opportunity to defeat hatred).
