Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJPYM) workers protested against the Odisha government . The BJPYM workers staged the protest over the murder case of former Health Minister Naba Das and the law and order situation in the state.
The protesters also raised slogans against the Naveen Patnaik government in the state. Due to the protest, heavy police deployment was made in the area to control the situation. The police also detained several protesters.
Das was shot at by an assistant sub-inspector at Gandhi Chowk near Brajarajnagar in Jharsuguda district on January 29 this year. Hours later, he succumbed to bullet injuries. The cop was immediately taken into custody. He was also dismissed from the service.
On Monday, the Congress claimed that the murder of DAs was planned. During the Zero Hours of Odisha assembly Congress MLA from Kantabanji, Santosh Singh Saluja, alleged that weeks after the murder of state Minister Naba Das the crime branch is still clueless about the motive of his murder
Meanwhile, another Congress MLA from the Jeypore constituency Tara Prasad Bahinipati levelled serious allegations by terming Naba Das’s killing as a “planned murder”. However, the state government dismissed all these allegations.
