Gaming payment processor Zebedee and Viker, a mobile game studio, have launched games that can reward players in Bitcoins. The games – Bitcoin Chess and Bitcoin Scratch are a part of Viker’s strategy to use Zebedee’s payment technology to give a new play-to-earn (P2E) twist to classic games that are known to everyone.
Bitcoin Scratch and Bitcoin Chess are available for download on iOS as well as Android and are the latest addition to the company’s gaming bouquet that consists of classic games such as Sudoku and Solitaire. Bitcoin Chess can be downloaded from Playstore in Android and App store on iOS. As of Saturday, the app had over a trillion downloads.
So far, the two companies – Zebedee and Viker have produced 10 games in the P2E model powered by Bitcoin.
What is Bitcoin Chess?
A project by Zebedee and Viker – a mobile gaming studio, Bitcoin Chess allows participants to earn Bitcoins (BTC) in small amounts while playing the traditional game of chess. According to reports, the players are rewarded in Satoshis (Sats) – the smallest unit of BTC which is equivalent to 0.00000001 of a Bitcoin. Users can redeem Sats through the Zebedee payment interface.

“These are not large amounts of money, with players earning a few cents per session, which is what makes the concept sustainable,” Zebedee said in a press release. In Bitcoin Scratch, players are given packs of scratch cards. In case the cards contain matching symbols, players can claim rewards in the form of Satoshis. In each game a player can earn up to 250 Satoshis.
