Known for creating buzz with unexpected twists and wild card entries, ‘Bigg Boss 19’ has kept the viewers completely captivated with the drama, arguments and controversies inside the house. In the recent Weekend ka Vaar episode Salman Khan, openly addressed a long standing misunderstanding with singer Arijit Singh, surprising fans.

During the episode, comedian Ravi Gupta appeared as a special guest and shared a humorous moment with Salman Khan. Ravi said, “I was a little nervous about meeting you,” to which Salman asked why. Ravi replied, “Because I look like Arijit Singh,” which left everyone, including Salman, laughing out loud.

Taking the moment further, Salman stated, “Arijit aur main bahut acche dost hai. Jo misunderstanding thi, meri side se thi. Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye. Tiger me kiya tha, ab Galwan me kar raha hai. (Arijit and I are very good friends. The misunderstanding that happened was on my side. After that, he even sang songs for me. He sang in Tiger, and now he’s singing in Galwan.”

What Sparked the Salman-Arijit Rift?

Their rift reportedly began in 2014 over a playful stage exchange where Arijit, dressed casually in slippers, came on stage to receive an award. Salman teasingly asked, “Were you asleep?” to which Arijit jokingly replied, “You guys put me to sleep.” This later fueled speculation when some of Arijit’s tracks were dropped from Salman’s films.

In 2016, Arijit posted a heartfelt apology to Salman on social media and asked him to keep his version of a song in Sultan. However, some reports said that several of Arijit’s songs were later removed from Salman’s films, sparking rumours of a continuing fallout between them.

Fans saw the friendship restored in 2023, when Arijit sang Le Ke Prabhu Ka Naam for Tiger 3, ending years of speculation and showing that the two stars were on good terms again
