TV actress Sreejita De was the first contestant who got eliminated from Bigg Boss 16. Ever since she came out of Salman Khan, the diva has been sharing her thoughts about her BB journey and contestants. Recently, Sreejita expressed her opinions over Sajid Khan’s participation in Bigg Boss 16 and revealed that she was molested by a director at the age of 18.
After coming out of Bigg Boss 16, Sreejita De said that at the initial stage of her, she was inappropriately touched by a director. For the unversed, Sreejita shared a cordial relationship with #MeToo accused Sajid Khan in BB 16 house, and added that he was okay with her.
In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Sreejita was asked about Urfi Javed’s comment about Sajid Khan’s participation as she had said that she would have walked out of the show if she was a contestant after seeing Sajid in the house. While speaking about the Housefull director’s participation in Bigg Boss 16, Sreejita De said, “It is absolutely the makers’ call. They must have roped him for a reason. I was just a contestant in the house. I have all my heart, feelings and support for all these women who were subjected. As far as Sajid sir is concerned, I was in the house for 14 days. He was okay with me. He was okay with everybody else. Definitely, if he would have done something unacceptable, the makers would have thrown him out immediately. I went with a mindset that I won’t judge anyone, depending on what the past was. I would see people as individuals and how they are inside the house.”
While speaking about being molested and humiliated by the director at the age of 18, Sreejita De said, “For the first time, I am saying this. I was humiliated and molested by a director at the age of 18 or 19. It was such a shock that I couldn’t understand what happened to me for a few months. It is extremely shocking for both genders if they are touched inappropriately by someone. I believe in gender equality. It is extremely shocking for any human. That’s why I can feel for all these women.”
“I was in Mumbai. There was a discussion happening in a film, where I was approached for a sister’s role. For that, the director called me two-three times. My mom was with me for the first two times. Even if I am 32, such past incident stays with you. I had gone alone for the third time to sign the contract. At that time, after coming across with some unacceptable act, I ran away from the office. I was in a state of shock. After 3 to 4 days, I told my mother about it. I also informed a producer about the director. He told me that this guy has a reputation like this, and asked me not to meet him again,” Sreejita De added.
The actress further revealed that her parents supported her a lot. Her mother was shocked, but she supported her. Coming back to Sajid Khan’s participation, many celebs such as Sona Mohapatra, Urfi Javed, Ali Fazal and others have called out the channel for taking him in the show as a contestant.
