Big Warning from India-Pak Border: Asim Munir’s statement HINTS at Pakistan Army’s next move, says ‘Fully prepared to…’

Pakistan’s newly appointed Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir on Saturday, stated that the country’s security forces are ready to face any internal or external threat. During his visit to Pakistani garrisons near the Indian border, Munir was updated on operational readiness and key initiatives to enhance combat capabilities. According to a statement issued by Pakistani army, Munir visited Gujranwala and Sialkot cantonment areas on December 13.

Pakistani Army fully prepared, says Asim Munir

On his visit to the garrisons near Indian border, Munir said, “The Pakistan Army is fully prepared to deal with both internal and external challenges arising from hostile ‘hybrid’ campaigns, extremist ideologies, and divisive elements attempting to undermine national stability.” While interacting with officers and soldiers, the Pakistani Army Chief appreciated their high morale and unwavering commitment to national security. He emphasised the importance of rigorous and mission-oriented training.

Munir also inspected a field training exercise and an advanced simulator training facility, praising the armoured formations for their professional standards and state of readiness. During the visit, he also underscored the importance of adapting to changing conditions. He noted that modern warfare demands speed, precision, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making.

Tensions between India and Pakistan

The Pakistani army chief’s visit to border posts becomes significant in light of the tensions with India. Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 civilians, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The four days of cross-border shelling, ended on May 10 after both sides agreed to halt military operations.
