Biden Finally Opens Up On His Decision To Opt Out: Passing The Torch…

In a historic Oval Office address on Thursday, US President Joe Biden explained his decision to end his reelection bid, stating, “I hold this office in reverence, but my love for my country is greater.”

In his first extended address to the nation since announcing his decision not to seek reelection on November 5th and endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the White House race, the US president emphasized that defending democracy outweighs any title.

As he concluded his political career, the US president emphasized that the nation’s democracy rests in the hands of voters, declaring, ‘I draw strength and joy from working for the American people. But perfecting our Union is not about me—it’s about you, your families, and your futures. It’s about ‘We the People.’

Reflecting on his political journey, the octogenarian leader stated, “Nowhere else on Earth could a kid with a stutter from modest beginnings in Scranton, Pennsylvania and Claymont, Delaware, one day occupy the Oval Office as President of the United States. But here I am.” He expressed gratitude for the love and support of the American people, noting that he has devoted his heart and soul to the country and has received many blessings in return.

In his Oval Office speech, President Biden declared that he will spend his final six months in office focused on “fulfilling my duties as president.” He dismissed demands from Republicans and their nominee, Donald Trump, who asserted that the current president is unfit to remain in office and should step down.

In his Oval Office address, Biden praised Kamala Harris as “tough” and “capable” of confronting Donald Trump in the November election.

“I see her as experienced, tough, and capable. She has been an incredible partner to me and a leader for our country. Now, the decision rests with you, the American people,” he stated.

He also emphasized the importance of both long years of experience in public life and the emergence of new voices in the right contexts.
