Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ has been the flagbearer for the horror-comedy movies in Bollywood and is now all set to return with its third instalment. The movie will reintroduce Manjulika with Vidya Balan to the franchise and going against Kartik Aaryan’s Rooh Baba. ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ will also introduce new characters, expanding this OG horror-comedy franchise. Madhuri Dixit has officially joined the movie after creating speculations about her appearance in the movie movie. After its exciting teaser, the trailer of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is also out.
The trailer of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ begins with the legend of Manjulika, the character that was introduced in the first part. Kartik Aaryan’s Rooh Baba, with his notorious yet charming personality, goes on his chaotic quest again to know the truth behind the terror created by Manjulika. As Vidya Balan’s Manjulika was introduced in the film’s teaser, Madhuri Dixit’s entry was truly a surprise. The trailer creates the mystery around who is Manjulika- Madhuri or Vidya.
Apart from Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan, the movie also stars Triptii Dimri in the lead role.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Trailer Review:
Both parts of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ have been a big success with the Kartik Aaryan-starrer also being credited for opening doors for audiences to watch movies again in theatres. Fans have high expectations from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ as it also brings back the OG Manjulika aka Vidya Balan.
Madhuri Dixit’s entry as another Manjulika is one of the best things in the trailer. Her aura works flawlessly and she seems to have complimented Vidya’s powerful on-screen presence. Kartik Aaryan has also brought back the charm of Rooh Baba from the second part and has good chemistry with Triptii Dimri.
The movie features a talented ensemble of actors but its disoriented trailer seems to have not utilized the full potential of its cast. From the typical Bengali accent to over-the-top scenes, the jokes do not land well. Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra and Vijay Raaz provide a little bit of comic relief but have fallen victim to the stereotypical portrayal of their characters.
Despite Kartik Aaryan being in the lead, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan do the most heavy lifting and Kartik Aaryan looks like he is here for the comic relief. In the 3-minute 51-second trailer, his performance reminds you of ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. Vidya, who sent shivers down our spines with her performance as Manjulika, does not look scary at all. However, the small glimpse of Vidya and Madhuri’s dance-off is the highlight of the trailer and the audience should look forward to it. Even though Triptii has proved her acting prowess in the horror genre before in ‘Bulbbul’, she is limited to being Kartik Aaryan’s love interest in the trailer.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ will release on November 1, 2024, and will clash with ‘Singham Again’.
