Akshay Kumar played the role of a psychiatrist named Aditya Srivastava in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, who helped Avni (played by Vidya Balan) to heal and separate her from an alter ego Manjulika. He was replaced by Kartik Aaryan in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ and the movie took a supernatural route rather than being a psychological thriller.
In the teaser, Vidya Balan is reintroduced as Manjulika and has created a terror in the mansion. Some scenes and the iconic ‘Ami Je Tomar’ from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ also make a comeback in ‘Bhoolo Bhulaiyaa 3’. Triptii Dimri seemed to be the love interest in the movie and the teaser showed some of her beautiful scenes with Kartik. Other characters will soon be introduced as the viewers got to see a glimpse of a mysterious entity in the 1-minute and 46-seconds teaser.
Directed by Anees Bazmee, the movie also stars Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan in the lead roles. Vidya will reportedly reprise her role as Manjulika from the first part. Its plot will focus on Rooh Baba (played by Kartik Aaryan), going to a haunted mansion in Kolkata, and trying to find the truth behind the evil spirit Manjulika. Madhuri Dixit is also reported to have a cameo role in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
In an exclusive chat with News24, director Anees Bazmee talked about the cast of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and said that he does not want to kill the suspense. He shared, “We have a stellar cast which includes the lead actors Kartik, Tripti and Vidya. Then we have my favourite comic trio Sanjay Mishra Ashwini Kaleskar, Rajpal Yadav. Everyone, including the ones we have announced and the ones we have not confirmed, have done an excellent job. I don’t want to comment on the names and kill the suspense. I want people to go with no prior thoughts in mind and enjoy the surprises that film presents.”
Talking about his experience of shooting for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, he added, “We did our best job with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and gave our 500 percent to it. I am very happy with the way the film has turned out. In fact, everyone who has seen the film so far is loving it. With God’s grace, the audience is also going to like and appreciate the work we have put into the film.”
‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ will hit the theatres on November 1, 2024.
