After the conclusion of the ongoing away series against Bangladesh, the Indian team will take part in three back-to-back home assignments and will host the likes of Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Australia. The Indian team will first play three T20Is and as many ODIs against the Islanders and then host New Zealand for three ODIs and three T20Is.
After playing the limited-overs series, India will shift its focus to Test cricket and will host Australia in a four-match Test series. India last hosted a Border-Gavaskar series in 2017. The all-important red ball battle will start on February 9 and run until March 13.
And then the home assignments will end with a three-match ODI series against the five-time ODI World Cup winners. Since India is scheduled to host the ODI World Cup next year in October-November, the team’s focus will be more on the 50-over games.
