Barricades outside UK High Commission in Delhi removed – A tit-for-tat move for London Khalistani protest?

Barricades were removed from outside the UK High Commission in Delhi police , a decision seen as India’s ‘tit-for-tat’ move over pulling down of tricolour at the Indian High Commission in London by Khalistani protesters.
“The security arrangements outside the British High Commission here are intact. However, barricades placed on the pathway towards the Commission that created hurdles for commutation have been removed,” a senior police officer was quoted as saying by PTI.
A group of protesters carrying separatist Khalistani flags pulled down an Indian flag flying atop the Indian High Commission in London and chanted pro-Khalistani slogans on Sunday, leading to an arrest related to the violent disorder.
India on Sunday night strongly condemned the incident and summoned the British deputy high commissioner, demanding an explanation over the complete “absence of security”. In a strongly-worded statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said India finds “unacceptable” the indifference of the UK government to the security of Indian diplomatic premises and personnel in the UK.
British officials also deplored as “disgraceful” and “completely unacceptable” the vandalism at the mission and said that the UK government will take the security of the Indian High Commission here “seriously.
Sikhs For Justice, the banned terrorist organisation, is conducting a so-called “Referendum 2020” amid a crackdown on pro-Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh in Punjab.
