Babar Azam gives death stare to reporter after his ‘ye koi tareeka nahi hai’ comment, video goes viral

Pakistan is engaged in a bilateral series against New Zealand at home these days. The duel between these two star-studded teams involves two Tests and three ODIs, all of which will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi. The first game of the two-match Test series ended without a result on Friday (December 30). And after the conclusion of the first Test, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam attended a post-match press conference in which, annoyed by a journalist’s comment, he gave him a death stare before walking out of the press conference.
The incident happened towards the end of the conference when a journalist, after getting ignored by Babar, shouted, “Ye koi tareeka nahi hain, yaha sawaal ke lie aapko ishaare kar rahe hain” (This is not the way, I’m making repeated gestures to ask a question). But the 28-year-old cricketer didn’t say anything and instead gave him a death stare before the media manager turned off the microphone.
The first Test of the series was a run fest in Karachi, in which both teams posted big totals in the first innings. Babar won the toss and opted to bat first. He led from the front and top-scored with 161 to help his team post 438 runs on the board in the first innings. The visitor’s response was even stronger, and they post 612 for nine thanks to former skipper Kane Williamson’s 200 not out and opening batter Tom Latham’s 113.
In the second innings, Pakistan declared their innings after making 311 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Babar tried to spice up the game by inviting the Kiwis to bat again and chase down 138 runs in around 14–15 overs, but due to bad lighting, only 7.3 overs of play were possible in NZ’s second innings.
The second match between the two teams will start on January 2, and then the three ODIs will take place on January 9, 11, and 13.
