Baahubali: The Epic’ has taken the audience back to the glory of SS Rajamouli, who took the theatres by storm. For the unversed, the movie is an amalgamation of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, released in 2015 and 2017.

Baahubali: The Epic Box Office Collection Day 6

According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ collected Rs 1.50 crore on day 6. The movie has earned Rs 29.65 crore in total.

Annapurna Studios’ CTO CV Rao, who is the man behind combining two films into one, talked about the process of making ‘Baahubali: The Epic’. While speaking to Hindustan Times, he shared, “Unlike the original Baahubali films, Baahubali: The Epic will be available in more formats, including IMAX, Dolby, Dbox, Pcx, 4dx, ICE immersive and Epic. It took us 2 weeks just to achieve the quality needed for Dolby. The film will also be presented in multiple aspect ratios like 1.9, 1.85, 2.39, which took 10 days to achieve.”

“There’s no doubt that it’ll be a whole new experience visually because we’ve made improvements to the visual effects, colour and dynamics. The sound is now available on Dolby Atmos. People who like different formats will have all the more reason to watch it. That’s why I believe it’s going to be a celebration of cinema,” he added.

‘Baahubali: The Beginning’, which is the first part of the franchise, was released in 2015 and became a massive success. At the time of its release, the movie became the highest-grossing Telugu film and the second-highest-grossing Indian film worldwide.

Its second part, ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, was released in 2017 and was also a blockbuster. At the 65th National Film Awards, the movie bagged Best Stunt Choreography, Best Special Effects and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

Apart from Prabhas, both the movies star Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, Nassar and Subbaraju.
