At Ram Charan’s Birthday Party, He And Dad Chiranjeevi Honoured RRR’s Oscar Winners

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi celebrated his son Ram Charan’s birthday in the most special way. In a grand gesture, the father of RRR star Ram Charan applauded the Naatu Naatu Oscar winners on the occasion of his son’s 38th birthday. Calling it the “real celebration,” superstar Chiranjeevi shared several pictures from the birthday party on his Instagram feed. In the pictures,  superstar Chiranjeevi honoured RRR director SS Rajamouli and music composer MM Keeravaani with bouquets in the presence of family and friends from the Telugu film fraternity. Sharing the images, Chiranjeevi wrote a long and heartfelt note which read, “Felicitating Oscar winners in the presence of friends felt like a real celebration. This award achieved by Telugu people for Indian cinema will remain as history! honouring our Oscar winners in the presence of near and dear on Ram Charan‘s birthday was a true celebration! This feat Telugus achieved for the Indian Cinema shall remain etched in history!”

Among other celebrities, Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda and Rana Naidu actor Venkatesh Daggubati were also spotted at the event, celebrating Ram Charan and the Oscar winners.

Chiranjeevi shared a lovely post featuring an image of the father-son duo. In the photo, Chiranjeevi could be seen kissing his son. In the caption, the veteran actor said, “Proud of you Nanna [son]…Ram Charan. Happy Birthday,” with a bouquet and confetti emojis

Dad Chiranjeevi has been the biggest cheerleader of Ram Charan. When Naatu Naatu was nominated for the Oscars, Ram Charan in a US podcast revealed his father’s reaction. He said, ” My father told me we don’t know the value of this so early in our career but he knows the value and I truly believe, that we are praying for this for everyone in India too, not just actors but it’s like India winning an Olympic gold medal, I do not run but I only the feeling when my Indian sportsperson holds that medal, The Oscars is like an Olympic Gold medal equivalent for us.”

Now look at superstar Chiranjeevi’s ecstatic reaction when Naatu Naatu scripted history on the night of March 13 by winning the Oscar in the Best Original Song category.

RRR song Naatu Naatu was the first Indian film track to win in the Best Original Song category at the Oscars. The energetic track won the award trumping big names such as Rihanna and Lady Gaga. Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava and composer along with director SS Rajamouli and lead actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan were also present at the big event.
