Aryan Khan Case: NCB’s SIT demands additional time to file charge sheet in the alleged cruise drugs case

The Narcotics Control Bureau of India today has sought 90 more days to file a charge sheet in the Mumbai cruise drugs case. The anti drugs-agency was supposed to file the concerned charge sheet by April 2. Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested along with 19 others for his alleged involvement in the above mentioned case.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the NCB has now requested the Mumbai sessions court for an extension of the date to file the charge sheet.
Aryan was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau after the agency busted an alleged drugs racket on a cruise ship and recovered drugs like hashish, cocaine, and MD on October 2. Aryan was detained along with Mummun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra, and Arbaaz Merchant. Aryan was arrested the very next day and was booked under sections 8C, 20B, 27, and 35 of the Narcotics Drugs and psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act.
On October 4 in front of the magistrate, the NCB claimed to have discovered texts on Aryan’s mobile pointing towards his alleged involvement in international drug trafficking. The court allowed NCB to keep the accused under their remand for three days till October 7.
Later after multiple hearings and rejected bail pleas, the single bench of justice NW Sambre granted bail to Aryan after 25 days to his arrest on October 28. The High Court had also granted bail to his co-accused friend Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Damecha.
Cut to the present, the star kid was spotted at the auction for his father’s team Kolkata Knight Riders in Bangalore. He has been making active appearances at Bollywood parties. Aryan has also been attending the IPL matches regularly.
The SIT had set up an investigation team to investigate Aryan’s involvement in the alleged drugs case. However, the team found no evidence against him as being a part of a larger drugs conspiracy or any international drugs trafficking syndicate.
