On the occasion of his 37th birthday, Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note for his late mother Mona Shourie Kapoor. While celebrating his special day in Paris with his ladylove Malaika Arora, the 2 States actor took a moment to remember his mother.
Sharing a photo of himself looking at the sky, Arjun wrote, “Look Maa your son is 37 today & all grown up… I miss you but I know you’re watching over me always & forever.” Mona Shourie Kapoor, who was Boney Kapoor’s first wife, passed away in 2012 after a long battle with cancer. She left for the heavenly abode months before the release of Arjun’s Bollywood debut Ishaqzaade.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Arjun’s sister Anshuka Kapoor shared an elongated note to wish him on his birthday. Anshula’s post carried pictures from the star’s childhood in which their mother Mona Kapoor can also be seen.
Heaping praises on her brother for always being by her side, Anshula wrote, “Happy birthday to my number one human in the entire universe. @arjunkapoor You show me everyday what it feels like to be surrounded by a forcefield of unconditional love. You make my life a million times better by just being you. You have this innate ability to make the Sun shine somehow even when it feels like there is no sun at all.. You indulge me beyond my dreams but also show me the mirror when I need someone to be 100% honest with me.. you can make me laugh even when it feels like it’s the last thing I’m capable of doing.. “
Further, Anshula also wished for their mother to be around them. “I wish mom were here to see the man you’ve grown into. You’ve done her proud.. And I know that wherever she is, she’s looking at you with all her love. I love you. I’ve got your back. Always,” she added.
On the work front, Arjun is gearing up for the release of Ek Villain Returns alongside John Abraham, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria.
