Speaking of Aamir, the actor made a comment on India’s situation in 2015 and said, “When I chat with Kiran at home, she says, ‘Should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. ” When some people brought up Aamir’s previous remarks on the nation, boycott calls began to circulate.
Along with Laal Singh Chaddha, several other movies also came under boycott trends. It includes Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Pathaan, Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger, Taapsee Pannu’s Dobaraa, and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan.
