Angad Bedi reveals he continued shooting for Mum Bhai even after his knee ‘broke into two’

There are times when actors go above and beyond for projects that hold a special place in their hearts. And that is exactly what Angad Bedi did while shooting for his upcoming web series Mum Bhai. Angad’s fans already know that the actor had to undergo knee surgery after getting injured on the set of the digital series. But what will come as a shock to many is that the actor didn’t head straight to the hospital after sustaining the injury, instead, he completed the sequence and shot for 2 hours despite having unbearable pain and a broken knee.

While exclusively speaking to Times Now Digital, the actor shared, “While shooting for action scenes, I sustained a lot of injuries, not just one. My knee broke into two and I had to go through a surgery and then I had to get back on my feet and get back into the action mode. And, I had to shoot a lot of action sequences even after my surgery. There was a physiotherapist at all times on the set.”

The actor further added, “During the action sequence, my knee got busted and it was broken in four places and we had to finish the scenes. Everybody was worried. And yes I had to be rushed to the hospital but to finish the sequence, I stayed back for two more hours. I shot on one leg and I finished the whole sequence, luckily in close-up. That was quite challenging because I had to take painkillers to keep going that day. And post-surgery, doing all the action scenes became quite hard for me as we usually lose confidence once something like this happens.”

Sharing another incident from Mum Bhai, the actor said, “In another fight sequence between Sikandar Kher and me, his elbow badly hit my face. I took a lot of beating while shooting this web series and I endured a lot. But I feel that when you give your blood and sweat to a project, you come off with flying colours and I hope to see that.”

In February, Angad shared a video shot by his wife Neha Dhupia right before he got into the operation theatre. In the caption, the actor wrote, “That’s me minutes before going in for a knee surgery… I think my nerves got me talking too much… captured by my wifey (also pls note she has no clue which knee is injured) but I still love her too much … stay tuned for more … will keep u posted with more videoes if I’m not dying in pain.
