An Action Hero box office collection day 2: Following a rather unimpressive opening day, the Ayushmann Khurrana film seems to be gaining some traction. However, this still isn’t enough. Just crossing the Rs 2 crore mark on day 2, the action thriller movie has a long way to go before it even touches the Rs 10 crore mark.
An Action Hero’s Box Office Collection Day 2
After a poor start at the ticket windows, An Action Hero seems to be gaining somewhat of a momentum due to encouraging word of mouth. Minting Rs 1.31 crore across the nation on Friday, the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer collected Rs 2.16 crore on its second day at the box office. This brings the two-day nett to Rs 3.47 crore.
“#AnActionHero gets the much-needed boost/jump on Day 2, but the 2-day total remains extremely low, despite favourable word of mouth… Mass circuits are weak… Needs miraculous turnaround on Day 3… Fri 1.31 cr, Sat 2.16 cr. Total: ₹ 3.47 cr. #India biz,” trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Critics’ opinions on An Action Hero
While the movie might barely make it past the Rs 5 crore on its opening weekend, critics still have hopes for it. “An Action Hero has all the elements that it takes to create box office success, and it has Ayushmann Khurrana, who’s a popular actor. It’s an action franchise set backdrop. It’s got the thrills and the big action scenes,” stated film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi in conversation with Zoom.
About Ayushmann Khurrana’s An Action Hero
Directed by Anirudh Iyer, Ayushmann Khurrana’s An Action Hero follows the story of a actor who rejected a biopic of a gangster as he wanted to stay away from ‘bhai log and the underworld.’ However, he ends up getting entangled in the same after accidentally ‘killing’ the younger brother of a notorious gangster.
