Days after the buzz surrounding Amitabh Bachchan’s bodyguard Jitendra Shinde’s alleged salary, the latter has been reportedly transffered. Jitendra, who was a Mumbai Police constable before associating with Big B as his police security, was all over the headlines since the last two days with reports suggesting that he makes around Rs 1.5 crore per year. Although there was no official confirmation on the same, speculations were rife that his payslip is more than a CEO’s salary.
Soon after Jitendra’s alleged salary went viral, Mumbai Police ordered an inquiry into the matter to establish whether the said money was being earned by Shinde from Big B or someone else.
While the timing of his sudden transfer has made many connect it to the speculations regarding his whopping salary; Mumbai Police has clarified that a police personnel cannot be deployed in one place for more than five years and Shinde has been working with Bachchan since 2015.
Meanwhile, Shinde, in his defense of allegedly making Rs 1.5 crore per year, told police officers that his wife runs a security agency as well and as per sources, the agency provides its services to several other celebrities and renowned personalities as well. Shinde stated that his wife runs the agency in his name and that Amitabh Bachchan did not pay him Rs 1.5 crore.
Sr Bachchan has not issued any official statement on this development as yet.
