Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday launched a scathing attack on previous governments in Uttar Pradesh saying that the law and order situation in the state is best under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s rule.
Shah today laid the foundation stone of Maa Shakumbhari University at Punwarka village in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma and others were also present.
“I was listening to Akhilesh Yadav’s speech on TV, he says that crime has increased. Akhilesh Ji, where did you bring your spectacles from? What spectacles do you use? I have brought a comparison between the five years of Yogi Ji and you. Dacoity has gone down by 70 per cent in the state under the CM Yogi-led BJP government,” the home minister said while addressing the event.
“Incidents of looting, by the use of weapons, has gone down by 69 per cent in Uttar Pradesh. Murders went down by 30 per cent. Deaths due to dowry have gone down by 22.5 per cent. Akhilesh Ji goes home and checks the data. During your rule, there was mafia rule in Uttar Pradesh, today law rules in the state,” Shah added.
Lauding the Yogi government, Shah asserted that during his rule, no one dares to misbehave with the daughters of the state.
“There was a time when not only riots occurred here but our daughters had also to be sent to other states for studies because there was no security here. Today no daughter in western UP has to go outside for studies. Nobody dares to misbehave with them,” he said.
CM Yogi joins Shah in slamming previous govts
Singing the same tune, CM Yogi Adityanath attacked Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav accusing him of dynastic politics and casteist agenda.
“Previous governments lacked agenda on development. There is no space for development and nationalism where only dynastic politics and casteism is being taken care of. Previous UP governments had no room for education, employment, growth and development of the poor,” the Uttar Pradesh CM said.
