Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been kept in judicial custody in Arthur Road jail since October 7. Before that, the star-kid was in the NCB custody for 5 days. The 23-year old has been allegedly accused of consuming drugs following a drug raid on a Mumbai-Goa cruise ship on October 2. NCB has been challenging his bail application by claiming he is a part of an “illicit drug chain” and that he might tamper with the evidence if released on bail. Speaking of which, despite two court hearings on his bail plea, court has reserved its order till October 20 (Wednesday).

Lawyer Ayaz Khan, who had represented Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan in court during his cocaine case back in 2001, has now released an elaborate statement on how he managed to get bail for Fardeen within 3 days.Fardeen was nabbed by the anti-drugs agency for cosuming one gram of cocaine and the peddler who was in contact with Fardeen was caught with 9 gram of cocaine.

Fardeen’s lawyer reveals that the prosecution tried to challenge his bail by claiming Fardeen was consuming drugs since a long time but the lawyer strongly maintained in defence, “If he has been consuming drugs for a long time, even then he still remains a consumer.”

“There were arguments and Fardeen was in NCB custody for two or three days. We immediately applied for bail and got it soon from NDPS court. The allegation of the prosecution was, they wanted to check if there was conspiracy because about 9 grams of contraband was found on the peddler Nasir. But the finding of the judge was that, if it is written in the statement Fardeen is consuming, he should be tried for small quantity. We got him out on bail within three days”, said the lawyer as quoted by ETimes.

“We did not give the prosecution a chance to develop the case. Even when they had said that Nasir and Fardeen were talking, my stand was clear, if he is a consumer and is talking to the peddler, he is only talking to him for consumption and that helped our case”, he added.

As far as Aryan’s case is concerned, the NCB didn’t make any recovery from Aryan’s bag. However, they have claimed to have found “incriminating evidences” from his WhatsApp chats.
