After much anticipation, finally, Karan Johar is back with his super hit talk show Koffee With Karan Season 7 on Disney+Hotstar. The very first episode aired just today and we had Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt on the couch.
In the episode, Alia revealed how hubby Ranbir Kapoor had proposed to her. She went on to say, “It’s such a personal and special moment to me that I just want to keep it to myself. But yeah, I have to say in terms of Ranbir and his planning, he is like… he totally blew my mind away.”
Alia also revealed that she wasn’t expecting the proposal and that they weren’t even talking about it. She added how they were talking about it for a very long time but then there was the pandemic, delays, this and that; they felt like they shouldn’t talk about it. Hence, she revealed how they decided to go with the flow and to Alia, “that’s exactly what he(Ranbir) did. He didn’t tell anyone.”
Alia further described the way Ranbir proposed her. She said, “He just carried the ring and he did it in the most amazing place because it’s a place we both have a strong connection with which is Maasai Mara and in the middle of the jungle and it was just amazing. I don’t think I could have ever pictured the way it worked out together.”
This isn’t the end. There was one more surprise for Alia. Ranbir even planted their guide to capture those beautiful moments. Alia emotionally said, “And after it was over what I didn’t expect was he had planted our guide to take the pictures also.”
“So after everything was over, I was still dealing with the shock and I was so emotional and he was like…He took pictures and I was like you managed to take pictures. Because he knows how much the pictures mean to me. I was like , “What are you saying?” and I saw those pictures and of course, it was like it was too special.”
