Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are one of the most adored couples in the industry and have been standing with each other through thick and thin for over 21 years now. The duo never shied away from expressing their love for each other and are now doting parents to their two beautiful kids, Nitara Kumar and Aarav Kumar.
The actor has amazed his fans with numerous movies and never failed to surprise them with his acting skills. After releasing his last film Raksha Bandhan, which didn’t do well at the box office, Akshay Kumar dropped the teaser of Cuttputlli, leaving everyone surprised by his new avatar.
During an interview with an online portal, the actor revealed how and when he decided to marry Rajesh Khanna’s daughter, Twinkle. He told Filmy New J, “There are so many things that have happened in my life that I never thought off. Meine zindagi mein nahi socha tha ki mein Rajesh Khanna ki beti se shaadi karunga. Kabhi Bhi nahi socha tha (I never imagined that I would marry Rajesh Khanna’s daughter).
He further added, “Mein unke office mein jaya karta tha apni photo le ke ki mujhe koi kaam de do. Woh bolte they theek hai baad mein aana abhi film bana raha hun (I used to go to his office with my photograph, asking for work. He used to tell me to come later).”
For the unversed, Twinkle is the daughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. On the other hand, Akshay was born and brought up in Chandni Chowk, Delhi and came to Mumbai for acting, which he never thought of taking up as a profession. The duo first met before marriage during a shoot for a magazine. After their meeting, they were in touch with each other and in 2001, they took wedding vows together. It’s indeed love, laughter and happily ever after for them!
Meanwhile, talking about his work front, apart from Cuttputlli, which is slated to release on September 2, Akshay Kumar has multiple exciting projects in the pipeline at the moment including Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Tiger Shroff, Selfiee with Emraan Hashmi, and OMG 2.
