Akanksha Dubey suicide case: Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh and his brother booked for abetment

After Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey’s mother held singer Samar Jain and his brother Sanjay Singh responsible for her daughter’s death, an FIR was registered on Monday (March 28) against the brothers for abetment of suicide, The 25-year-old actress was found hanging from a fan in a hotel room on Sunday (March 26).
Singer Samar Singh booked for abetment of suicide
A FIR has been registered against singer Samar Singh and his brother Sanjay Singh on charges of abetment of suicide and other relevant sections under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Sarnath police station SHO Dharmpal Singh said. He also mentioned that the FIR was registered on the basis of a complaint by the actress’ mother Madhu Dubey.
Akanksha Dubey’s mother accuses Samar Jain
According to Madhu Dubey, mother of Akanksha Dubey, Samar ingh and Sanjay Singh had not been giving her money for work done worth crores over the last three years. She also claimed that Sanjay Singh had threatened to kill Akanksha Dubey, which was informed to Madhu by her daughter Akanksha.

According to AajTak, Akanksha Dubey suffered from depression in 2018 and had taken a professional break. A few years ago, she made a comeback. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Sarnath) Gyan Prakash Rai earlier said that no suicide note was recovered from the room and that it appeared to be a case of suicide. Akanksha had come to Varanasi for a film shoot and was staying at the hotel. The hotel xtaff entered the room using a masterkey after she did not come out till late Sunday morning.
