About the Pushpa franchise
Following the massive success of 2021’s Pushpa: The Rise – Part 01, the film’s makers decided to produce a sequel. Directed by Sukumar, the second installment of the film will see Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna reprise their roles. In continuation with the first film, the sequel will follow the rise of Pushpa Raj, portrayed by Allu Arjun, in the smuggling syndicate of red sandalwood.
Although a bunch of scenes for Pushpa – Part 2: The Rule had already been shot, director Sukumar announced he would be re-shooting the entire film as the initial script had been altered to cater more to the audience in the Hindi belt after the first film’s unexpected success in that region.
