After Payal Rohatgi gets trolled on Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp, fiance Sangram comes out in her defense, ‘at times your mind goes blank…’

Payal Rohatgi is one contestant who has constantly been making noise in Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp. The actress never fails to make her opinion known on the Ekta Kapoor show and is always grabbing headlines for one reason or another.
In an earlier episode of the reality show, Payal was trolled after she failed to name the President of India. Her fiancé, Sangram Singh has now spoken up in her support.
For the unversed, Payal was recently trolled on social media for not being able to name the President of India. The actress was also trolled as she is otherwise quite vocal on social media about her political views.
Sangram has now come out in support of the actress, In a statement he said, “Payal is an intelligent woman. She knows a lot about politics, history and has an amazing general knowledge as far as I know her. But when you are suddenly posed a question, at times your mind goes blank. It happens to all of us. Payal does not believe in sweet talk or chaaplusi. She has a mind of her own. The rest of the contestants seem to unite in fear of elimination. The idea is to put pressure on Payal to speak quickly so that the team loses. But she knew the answer and replied with the next question. Payal is very intelligent and knowledgeable and to judge her by a question is wrong and uncalled for!”
Meanwhile, a few days back Nisha Rawal was again seen taking a stand against Anjali Arora for age shaming Payal Rohatgi and other co-contestants as well. Payal and Anjali got into a verbal fight post their recent task wherein Payal said to Anjali “Baccho ke liye ye jagah nahi hai (this place is not for children) to which Anjali replied “Haa toh buddho ke liye bhi nahi hai, buddhe baccho ke saamne khade hai (this place is not for the aged as well. The elderly are competing against youngsters here)”.
That’s when Nisha spoke in support of Payal. Reacting to the same Munawar Farouqi tried to shut Nisha saying, “In dono ka chal raha hai sabko lene ki jarurat nahi hai” to which Nisha gave a befitting reply stating, “She [Anjali] said buddhe and it is addressed to everybody, I will take offense for the same!”
Ekta Kapoor launched the show in Mumbai on February 3 and it live streams 24×7.
