Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel joined the debate on an article published in the NY Times featuring AAP leader and Delhi Deputy CM Bhupesh Baghel and said that the ‘AAP government is only good at advertising.’ “What good work has AAP done? They have not built even a single school or one hospital building in Delhi. It is only advertising they are good at,” Baghel said while talking to reporters post an event in Raipur.
Notably, the BJP hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party over the NY Times articles calling it ‘vigyapanjeevi‘ by showing the ‘same’ news piece printed in the ‘Khaleej Times’. “Same photo, same language. What an amazing vigyapanjeevi (living off advertisements),” BJP leader Harish Khurana said.
In response to BJP’s scathing attack, AAP MP Raghav Chadha said that the BJP’s allegations were ‘laughable’. “No news of any BJP leader was ever printed there. BJP calls itself the biggest party in the world. It’s the richest political party. They should appear on New York Times’ front page daily if someone can buy them,” he said.
AAP national spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj, in a counter-attack, also asked ‘why can’t BJP get paid news published in NY Times?’ “Which is the richest political party in India? The donation they (BJP) get is the maximum among political parties. Why couldn’t you get paid news published? There was an NYTimes report on Modi. Don’t want to go back on that,” he said.
“They (BJP) said the article published on Nytimes is published in Khaleej Times.. These stupid people don’t know how NYTimes work. It’s a syndication of content between two newspapers. It’s the same as how ANI publishes its work. This level of foolishness and nonsensical allegations. They (BJP) don’t know about the brand of NYTimes,” the AAP leader added.
