The excitement for Laal Singh Chaddha just grew manifold as Aamir Khan has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will be making a special appearance in the film. Aamir’s revelation has come as a massive surprise for the fans who have been waiting to see him and SRK together on the big screen for years.
During his recent interview, Aamir talked about how he convinced King Khan to come onboard for a cameo in the Advait Chandan directorial. SRK was recently seen in a brief appearance in R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect as well.
Narrating the story behind the Don actor’s cameo, Aamir told Canadian film journalist Alexandra, “Well Shah Rukh is a friend and I told him that I needed someone who can represent what Elvis (Presley) represented in America. I need the biggest iconic star of India, which is why I am coming to you. He was really sweet and he said ‘yes’.”
It is indeed a huge moment in the history of Indian cinema as SRK and Aamir will be sharing screen space for the very first time. The two had earlier appeared separately in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance.
Apart from Laal Singh Chaddha, SRK is also expected to have cameos in Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra Part One: Shiva and Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif headlined Tiger 3. Also, the Dabangg actor will reportedly be seen in SRK’s Pathaan, which will mark his comeback after a gap of four years
Speaking of Laal Singh Chaddha, the comedy-drama is an official adaptation of Tom Hanks’ cult classic Forrest Gump. The Hindi remake also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh in pivotal roles. It marks the Bollywood debut of Naga Chaitanya.
The script for Laal Singh Chaddha has been written by Atul Kulkarni. The film opens in theatres on August 11.
